About Us

Murray and Son's Automotive began in Deep River, IA many years ago by Ned Murray and was revived in Estes Park, Co in 1996 by two of his sons.  Considering the Murray boys had grown up in Estes Park, CO they had a great clientèle.  After the death of their father, they felt they needed to be closer to family in IA. 

After the realization that the mountains was truly home and they missed their long time friends and clientèle, they reopened Murray and Son's Automotive at Ed's old gas station up on Hwy. 7 (S. St. Vrain Ave.) in 2005.  Here they continued with their known quality service. 

Mid 2007, Sean and his wife purchased the remaining portion of the business and continue to run it today as a full repair and service automotive shop.  Immediately Sean started putting his own touch into what he loved.  

Sean and Theresa believe in the youth of tomorrow, therefore they opened the service desk position to the after school program.  At that time, they hired another family member, Ashley, to gain some experience in the business world.  She not only gained some business skills, but actually was put to work changing tires.  

Murray and Son's Automotive also has hired young men interested in the automotive industry and helped them gain experience in an actual working shop.  Though this was a pit stop for them, they have moved on to gain even more experience.

The biggest passion is rodeo, both Sean and Theresa are committee members of the Rooftop Rodeo and have sponsored the rodeo, many of our past and current Rooftop royalty members and the 2011 Miss Rodeo Colorado, Kellsie Purdy. 

We firmly believe that our service is quality and if there has been a mistake, we want to make it right!  We are an independently owned and operated service and repair shop in the United States of America!
